Cincinnati – April 2009
Michelle April 4th, 2009
We headed to Cincinnati for the day… IKEA and Jungle Jim’s were the only things on our list. It took us all day to get through both of them. If you have not been to these two places, you need to make time to do so.
IKEA is just cool! It has everything for your house. We have a PONG chair in our living room that is 10 years old and is so comfortable. The IKEA couch that we had now lives in our friends basement and is the best place for naps. The items are durable, space saving, inexpensive, and COOL!
Jungle Jim’s is the weirdest, but neatest grocery store that you have ever seen. If, you are familiar with Stew Leonard’s… it is similar. They have a huge cheese and lunchmeat section, butter section, VERY large wine and beer section, meat section (kangaroo, alligator, all pieces of a hog), crazy big produce section (I love to walk up and down these aisles), exotic produce section, fresh fish and seafood (they have a Aqua System in the building!!), ethnic sections (all kinds), hot sauce section, organic section, gluten-free section, honey section, and anything else that comes to mind.
They have a make-your-own mozzarella bar. You tell them what you want and they make it. They roll out sheets of mozzarella and fill it with whatever ingredients that you want. I love mine with sun-dried tomatoes and sweet basil. YUMMY!
Gavin thinks IKEA is the the best place to play. And, Jungle Jim’s has animated characters that sing to you.
