Rainy Days

October 8th, 2009

This makes rainy days wonderful! =)

“Look, Mommy… I can catch it in my mouth!”

Fall Is Here!

October 3rd, 2009

We met up with Uncle Eric, Aunt Jillybean, and Chalee out at Beasley’s Orchard (and Oscar, too!). Chalee jumped in the bounce house that Gavin wanted absolutely nothing to do with. Gavin was intrigued by the man that carved things out of big pieces of wood using a chainsaw. Then, we hopped on a hayride to head out to the pumpkin patch. Beasley’s does a nice job of taking you on a longish hayride.
The kids had to step high over the pumpkin foliage, but they managed to do just fine. They both ended up on the ground a time or two, but hopped right back up to play. They had fun just pointing out all the different pumpkins… big, small, tall, green, orange, squished, double. On the ride back, they enjoyed throwing hay and covering each other up with it. Aunt Jillybeans allergies were very thankful… No!
We headed to Wiggles to eat. Wiggles is on the square in Danville and serves fair food. They have tenderloins, walking tacos (personal favorite), elephant ears, funnel cakes, and an assortment of deep-fried snacks. It was a cute place and we would go back… when we are out that way. For those that live that direction… kids eat free on Monday and Wednesday.

Gavin built a spaceship and then soared around the room! So cute!!

Gavin took several boxes of play food, set them up on the table, and called his friends over to eat dinner! Awesome Imagination!

*Read ‘Leaf Man’ by Lois Ehlert
*Practiced signing – Wind
*Put together our fall color puzzles
*Created with white paper, paint, and leaves
*Took a walk outside and sang ‘Follow The Leader’ to enhance our gross motor skills
*Identified who was not it class and named who was not on the circle rug
*Discussed what it means to work together and be patient, we practiced it throughout the day

It is in his blood…

Cutesy Things

October 1st, 2009

I bought these at a store on the square in Noblesville. It is a 3 story store that just carries neat stuff. They have a Colt’s section, Vera Bradley purse section, carry Tom’s shoes (the company gives away a pair of shoes to underprivileged children in third world countries for every pair bought),1/2 price section, Dept 56 section, and I was wandered around the first floor.

Anyway, they coasters fit in the cup holders of the car. They are made by the same people that make coasters for your house, Absorb-a-Stone. They will soak up the condensation from your drinks. What a clever idea!
